Important Update: Pennies Are No Longer Being Produced
As part of a nationwide shift in coin production, the U.S. Mint has officially ended the manufacturing of pennies. While pennies remain legal tender and can still be used for transactions, their circulation will gradually decrease over time.
At Power Credit Union, we remain committed to serving our members. We will continue to accept pennies at all our branches. However, please note that due to limitations with our coin counting machines—which mix coin types and prevent us from shipping pennies—we are unable to accept loose pennies.
To help us serve you more efficiently, we kindly ask that you roll your pennies before bringing them in for exchange.
